Tic-Tac Tic-Tac

Today, it's time to show you the images from the wedding of Selma and Etienne at Château de Miremont in Auvergne. This adorable couple hail from Besançon, the "watch capital" of France. Tic-Tac.

And it's on this original theme, time, watchmaking, that they decorated their wedding with blue as the main color. I had the pleasure of being their wedding photographer in this magnificent château, which I no longer need to introduce, close to Clermont-Ferrand.

In parenthesis, Tic-Tac is thanks to the Swiss Laurent Mégevand (1754-1814) who built the first clock factory in Besançon. Tic-Tac.

You'll notice the various photos of the clocks in the château, as a reminder of their theme. They even had some pretty jewelry made for the wedding witnesses in reference to brooches made of gears.

This lovely wedding took place under a blazing sun. In the middle of a heatwave. Fortunately, at Miremont it's cooler, or should I say cooler, than in Clermont-Ferrand.

Some of the guests stayed in the château and gîte, making it easy to party the night away without worrying about the car journey home. Tic-Tac. I've photographed many, many weddings in this château.

That's why it's important for me to make a different Tic-Tac every time, even if some of them don't work. wedding photos in this castle are a must, like the photo on the spiral staircase.

Château de Miremont: the preparations

The bride

The preparations took place in the tower of the château. So that's where I started the wedding photos with Selma while she was having her hair done by a professional friend. Tic-Tac. I took the opportunity to photograph the wedding rings and the wedding dress. A tender moment punctuated the preparations when she read Étienne's letter containing his wedding vows.

The groom

I then joined Etienne to dress the groom and his witnesses in the salon on the first floor of Château de Miremont.

He had the opportunity to read a love letter from his sweetheart, which added a romantic atmosphere to the moment.

Accompanied by his witnesses, he dressed in his pretty suit.

Then it was off to the grounds of Château de Miremont, just down the road, for the start of the lay ceremony.

Château de Miremont: the ceremony

The arrival of the bride and groom

Visit Miremont castle is ideal for outdoor secular ceremonies, thanks to its wooded grounds. Once everyone was ready, this merry band of friends made their way to the chateau's riverside park, to a small water mill whose photo you can see in the gallery. The ceremony took place under the world's great clock: the Tic-Tac sun. The bride made her appearance in a princess gown that left some in awe. Moving and funny at the same time, with anecdotes told by the groom's brother, the bride's father and other guests, we celebrated their union to the cheers of the audience, some of whom couldn't hold back their tears of joy.

Château de Miremont: the evening

Strong emotions

After a few quick group photos (private joke), the wedding continued with cocktails at the foot of the château. And then everything went on without any notion of Tic-Tac time. Magic tricks with Kim the magician from Limoges, laughter, games, jokes between friends, speeches and finally the Tic-Tac dinner.

The first dance

I finished photographing their wedding after the first dance in the château's great hall.

Guests were captivated by the romantic spectacle.

These photos will stand the test of time and be passed on to future generations of the family. Time will accompany them Tic-Tac.

It was a wedding that was moving, touching and funny at times. A wonderful wedding day we'll remember for the rest of our lives. Congratulations, lovers!
