Astrid & Anis

A Franco-Algerian wedding at Château de La Canière

Oriental wedding photographer Clermont-Ferrand: an unforgettable experience.

As a professional wedding photographer, I've had the chance to immortalize many unique moments. Visit wedding from Astrid and Anis to Clermont-Ferrand will remain forever engraved in my memory. Between the adorable bride and groom, the fireworks, the outfits, the atmosphere, the venue and the exceptional service providers, the day was absolutely perfect.

This blend of cultures, between Martinique and Algeria, made for a celebration as festive as it was moving. It has to be said that these two and their loved ones know how to party!

From the preparations at the Château de La Canière to the wild evening, I had the privilege of capturing every moment of this exceptional day, which ended in rain. Most brides and grooms fear the rain on their wedding day. But believe me, exceptional photos can be taken.

Preparations at the château

The arrival of the photographer for this Franco-Oriental wedding

I arrived at 9am. Indeed, Astrid and Anis wanted me to be there all day: from the preparations until 1am!

That's 16 hours of coverage.

It's the best way to get a complete photo report of her wedding. So many different things happen throughout the day.

Arriving at the Château de la Canière in the Auvergne, I began by photographing the preparations of the bride's witnesses and her mother in the bridal bedroom.

After a few photos of the atmosphere and bridal accessories, it was Astrid's turn to get ready.

Wedding planning by a wedding planner

In parallel with my shooting, Emmanuelle Munoz, wedding planner in AuvergneShe made sure every detail was perfect.

His presence in the field was essential for ensure the smooth running of the day rich in emotion.

Working with a experienced wedding planner allows future brides and grooms to enjoy their day to the full

Religious ceremony in Clermont-Ferrand

Notre Dame du Port Basilica

Once Astrid was in her wedding dress, we hurried to Clermont-Ferrand, about a 35-minute drive away. Timing-wise, it was a close call, but we made it.

The basilica is right in the heart of town, just behind the town hall. Once parked, we joined the guests for the celebration.

Church exit in the rain

As soon as the ceremony was over, Cedric the videographer and I positioned ourselves at the exit of the basilica.

And then, surprise! A torrential downpour fell on us, soaking the guests in seconds. Taking advantage of a lull in the rain, I suggested that the bride and groom take a couple's photo indoors.

Moments later, to thunderous applause from the guests, the newlyweds made their entrance, defying the rain with a smile.

Oriental wedding photographer Clermont-Ferrand: the evening

The bride and groom enter in oriental wedding attire

Back at the château for the evening, we took advantage of the cocktail reception to make some group photos and couple photos.

Once the photos were completed, in the early evening, Emmanuelle, the wedding planner, presented the decorated salons to the bride and groom. A private visit that made quite an impact! The rooms were beautifully decorated by Emmanuelle's team. Bouquets, plates, candles, stationery - everything was perfect.

At around 8pm, the bride and groom entered the hall to a standing ovation from their guests.

The mood quickly took off, as guests and bride and groom alike went wild on the dance floor. The men lifted the groom, creating an unforgettable photo!

And it was after the starter, deliciously prepared by caterer Création Gourmande, that Astrid and Anis made their entrance in oriental outfits. The bride and groom set the dance floor alight, and it was breathtaking.

Fireworks and derbouka

At 11 p.m., guests were invited to join us in the gardens for a surprise... You cheaters, you've read the title and you know it's... fireworks. Bravo, I'm not congratulating you!

In short, a superb surprise from the bride and groom. I don't know if I've said it before, but those two are just adorable!

A moment suspended in this crazy day.

Speeches follow, which I love. On the one hand, you learn a little more about your sweethearts, and on the other, it makes for wonderful photos. Especially after the speeches. With tender scenes.

Back on Earth, we returned to the dance floor where a famous musician, Mehdi Ryan, played the derbouka. I'll let you visit his YouTube channel and his Instagram (380k followers please). Astrid and Anis had it flown in from Paris. It was great, as was the whole day. I hope to have the opportunity to be the Paris wedding photographer of their friends.
