Lay wedding at Château de Miremont : Mélanie & François
Mélanie & François
Lay wedding at Château de Miremont: summary
Mélanie and François have chosen Miremont Castlein Auvergne, France, to celebrate their secular wedding. Starting on Thursday, the Laura - Lau & la vie en rose had begun transforming the place to give it a festive air.
Visit day DI joined the bride and groom in the morning. Between the Pulvérières Town Hall and the ceremony in the parkThe emotion grew with each shared moment.
After a lively cocktail thanks in particular to François' friends, we made the couple session in the fading light. Then the evening took over: surprise videos, moving speeches and a fiery dance floor into the night.
From the Château de Miremont to the town hall
Melanie's preparations in the castle tower
I joined Mélanie from 9 am in the Château de Miremont towerwhere she made up her witness before passing into the hands of Mégane Hairstylist.
In the meantime, François was being prepared in the armor roomaccompanied by his son Sacha.
In the early afternoon, we set off for the Pulvérières Town Hall. The procession made a lasting impression thanks to its vintage carsits vans and even a Citroën decorated with a unicorn.
The civil ceremony, performed by the groom's motherA simple yet moving moment, before returning to the château for the secular wedding.
Groom's preparations in the armor room and civil ceremony in Pulvérières
In the meantime, François was being prepared in the armor roomsurrounded by his family and son Sacha. L'spiral staircase connecting the floors quickly became my playground, so emblematic is it of the Miremont Castle.
A little later, Mélanie slipped on her dress, a creation chosen from Martine Clermont-Ferrandwith the invaluable help of Laura.
In the early afternoon, we set off for the Pulvérières Town Hallabout thirty minutes away. The procession caused a sensation with its Vintage Porscheits Volkswagen vansits Ladybugsa Lamborghini orange... and even a Citroën C15 topped by an inflatable unicorn.
The civil ceremony, performed by the groom's motherThis was an emotional moment for the bride and groom, who were joined by all the guests for the secular wedding at the château.
Lay ceremony and cocktail party at Château de Miremont
A rock'n'roll arrival for the secular wedding at Château de Miremont
Visit Miremont Castlethe non-denominational ceremony took place in the park. François' friends made an offbeat entrance on AC/DCThe crowd was on its feet, arriving on the back of a trailer loaded with beers and fruit juices. The mood was immediately set.
Two friends took turns to lead the ceremony, but it was above all the speech by the Melanie's grandmother who left a lasting impression. She had raised her for most of her life, and her words moved Melanie to tears.
Then came the time forexchange of greetings. Mélanie recounted their story, while François, overcome with emotion, struggled to hold back his tears. True moments, among the most intense of the day.
Bouquet toss, vin d'honneur and couple's photos
After the non-denominational ceremony in the Miremont Castlethe guests gathered in the courtyard for the vin d'honneur. In this historic setting, the atmosphere remained warm and friendly.
Traditions were then revisited with a sense of humour: a bouquet toss for women, followed by a sausage toss which amused the audience. It's the first time I've seen this.
At the end of the day, just before going into the hall, we took advantage of the last rays of sunshine for the couple session. As Miremont's relief and forest make the light disappear more quickly, we had to think ahead. The bride and groom posed in the toweron thespiral staircase and in front of motorcade carsoffering graphic and original images.
An evening of madness and surprises
Moving speeches
The evening got off to a great start with thebride and groom's entrance in the room. Visit father of the bride then delivered a moving speech, a perfect moment to capture some powerful images.
After the meal, the François' mother took the floor. Her anecdotes had everyone laughing, including the groom. Then the newlyweds and their son hugged her, a simple but meaningful embrace.
It's for these evening moments that I like to keep: emotions that you don't get back on the day. My advice to future brides and grooms: keep your photographer until the end. These images will increase in value over the years.
Surprise video, ball opening and evening photos
A little later, friends of the bride and groom projected a humorous video. François had Sacha on his lap, and the three of them laughed from start to finish. Then came the cakefollowed by teaser video prepared in just a few hours by Rétineprod. A performance that impressed everyone.
The evening continued with the ball opening. The guests let loose with dancing, hugs and wild energy on the dance floor.
These evening photos are different from those taken during the day.. They capture a unique energy, when the pressure's off and everyone's really enjoying themselves. Many couples underestimate them, but These are often the most intense images in a story.
